The Angus App
Another tool to help Angus breeders make the most of their membership.

Whether you use Login to register, transfer and enter data or use AIMS (Angus Information Management Software), the IS department has a hand in it as well as angus.org. The time and resources they provide the organization are unmeasurable, and it all is to make the member’s experience the best that it can be.
Another service our IS department focuses on is the Angus mobile app.
If you do not have the Angus app, please go to your app store and download the free app. The Angus app is functional with either iPhone or Android devices.
Features for breeders
There are several great features from gestation calculators to sale reports. Whether you’re a seasoned veteran or using it for the first time, hopefully this will be beneficial to everyone.
Angus members have access to their AAA Login herd data and the ability to enter calving book records from the field. Use your current Login username and password to gain access. This is one of the most widely used functions of the app.
You can use date calculators for gestation and performance measurements such as weaning and ultrasound. The app also has available National Cattle Evaluation Information. There are expected progeny differences (EPDs) and $Value percentiles, breed average EPDs, $Values and more.
One of my favorite functions is the ability to configure the home screen to the functions you use most often. This can be done by selecting “more” at the bottom and then clicking “edit” at the top. Your icons will be available for you to choose from, simply drag and drop your favorite icons to the toolbar.
One of the most used tools on angus.org is to search for animals and search for members. This great feature is also available with the app and functions the same as website.
Current news released by the American Angus Association is available in an easy-to-read format for your convenience.
Sale books and sale reports is a very popular place for members to search sale books and check in on the current sale season for the latest results from across the United States. You can select the icons, and it will direct you to where you want to be with one button. The sale calendar is also an available feature that users enjoy along with the events schedule.
Show results is a handy function of the app that allows you to see past show results as well as ROV (Roll of Victory) standings and ROV points schedule.
The IS department and others are continually improving and updating the app and its functions to better serve the needs of the members.
I will continue the discussion in more detail to functions of the app in upcoming articles. If you have any suggestions or questions, please reach out to the member services department or contact your regional manager.
