Rentz’s Creek Side Farm, Coldwater, Ohio, has been enrolled in the Angus Herd Improvement Records program since its inception and was honored with the Association’s Historic Angus Herd Award. In 1994, the Ohio Angus Association presented the Rentz family with the Ohio Angus Family of the Year Award.

Rentz worked 14 years as an Angus Journal fieldman traveling the Midwest and later formed his own business, Rentz Auction Co., which specialized in Angus cattle sales.

He is a past director and president of the Ohio Angus Association, former member of the Association’s board of directors, and has served on the Ohio Beef Council and as a past officer for the Ohio Cattlemen’s Association.
