Junior Angus members traveled to Reno, Nev., to compete in the 2025 Western Regional Junior Angus Show, March 29. Dustin Frank, Chappell, Neb., evaluated the 99 owned females, 34 bred-and-owned females, nine bred-and-owned bulls, one cow-calf pair and 11 steers, and Doug Stevenson, Laurel, Mont., evaluated the 19 phenotype and genotype females before selecting champions.
Cailee Flood, Oakland, Calif., showed the grand champion owned female that first claimed summer champion. RW Saras Dream 310 is a May 2023 daughter of BRDG Mahogany Prime 904B.
PVF Missie 4220 captured reserve grand champion owned female. Kasey Meyer, Blue Hill, Neb., showed the February 2024 daughter of PVF DLX King Pin 0058 that first won calf champion – division 2.
Tyler Kraft, Fort Collins, Colo., led the grand champion bred-and-owned female, Kraft Georgina 4152. The May 2024 daughter of Hill Valley Reckoning 931 first won summer calf champion.
Gohr Saras Dream 4044 won reserve grand champion bred-and-owned female for Fallon Gohr, Madras, Ore. She is the April 2024 daughter of Colburn Primo 5153 and first won junior calf champion.
4M Reckoning 452 received grand champion bred-and-owned bull for Kasey Meyer. He is the February 2024 son of Hill Valley Reckoning 931 and first won junior calf champion.
Sydney Dodge, Pendleton, Ore., showed the reserve grand champion bred-and-owned bull. SMD Revenge 3246 is a November 2023 son of Dodge Surveillance 0224 and first claimed summer calf champion.
Zoey Justus, Baker City, Ore., led the grand champion cow-calf pair. ZJ Lady Rain 003 Z22 is the January 2022 daughter of S A V Rainfall 6846. Her June 2024 heifer calf sired by Bigk/WSC Iron Horse 025F is at side.
TT Handsome 438 received grand champion steer honors for Eli Atkisson, Stockton, Kan. He is the March 2024 son of SCC SCH 24 Karat 838.
McKinley Stoller, Palisade, Neb., showed the reserve grand champion steer. Dal Porto Marvel C535 is a June 2024 son of PVF Marvel 9185.
Parker White, Grandview, Texas, showed the grand champion female in the phenotype and genotype portion of the show. KC Blackbird 4036 is the March 2024 daughter of E & B Wildcat 9402 and first won division 2 champion.
Mataya Kraft, Fort Collins, Colo., led the reserve grand champion female in the phenotype and genotype portion of the show. Kraft Erica 4276 is the October 2024 daughter of Aberan Churchill 034J. She first claimed division 1 champion.
