Champions Selected at Missouri Angus Preview Show
Angus enthusiasts exhibited 128 entries at the 2024 Missouri Angus Association Preview Show, June 7-9 in Sedalia, Mo. John McCurry, Burrton, Kan., evaluated 94 females, nine bulls, eight steers and two cow-calf pairs and Blake Nelson, Platte City, Mo., evaluated 15 phenotype and genotype females and jackpot show before naming the winners.
TDFC Forever Lady 2308 won the honors of grand champion female after being named intermediate champion. Jace Pipkin, Republic, Mo., owns the June 2023 daughter of STAG Good Times 201 ET.
Hillard/Mead Pride Ever 306 claimed reserve grand champion female honors after claiming late junior champion for Annaliese Mead, Barnett, Mo. She is the April 2023 daughter of SCC SCH 24 Karat 838.
Wheeler Hunters Ted Lasso won the title of grand champion bull. Rance Wheeler, Paris, Mo., owns the September 2022 son of BNWZ Dignity 8017. He first claimed senior champion.
WB Thumbs Up 327 was awarded reserve grand champion bull after claiming senior calf champion. Thummel Angus, Sheridan, Mo., owns the September 2023 son of PVF Blacklist 7077.
Easton Washam, Pierce City, Mo., owns the grand champion cow-calf pair. HS Miss Wix 622 162 EGW is a March 2022 daughter of Conley Express 7211. An April 2024 daughter of Raven Republic I564 completes the winning pair.
H S Lady Queen 56 559 won reserve grand champion cow-calf pair. Joseph Todd, Willard, Mo., owns the November 2019 daughter of Baldco H/S Middle Ground 67E. A February 2024 heifer calf sired by H S North Pole 41 154 is at side.
Teb Raymond 4L won grand champion steer. Jenna Richterkessing, Cuba, Mo., owns the February 2023 son of PVF Blacklist 7077.
Taylor Coulter, Wentzville, Mo., showed the reserve grand champion steer. Coulter Alpha 304 is the February 2023 son of Collison Alpha 028.
Kipton Thummel, Ravenwood, Mo., showed the grand champion female in phenotype and genotype portion of the show. TA Lass 36 is the September 2023 daughter of Line Exemplify 71124 and first won division 2 champion.
Ross Wheeler, Paris, Mo., led the reserve grand champion female in the phenotype and genotype portion of the show. Valley View Karama 8323 is the August 2023 daughter of Poss Winchester. She first claimed division 3 champion.
